Dream Traxx teams up with Caterpillar Corporation

It all started with a dream. First, it was a dream to be a professional motocross racer. Then, it was a dream to become one of the best motocross and supercross track builders in the world. Now, it is Dream Traxx! Dream Traxx began over 10 years ago, when the riding boots were put away, and the dozer blades began digging in. After years of battling the ups and downs involved with running a small business, Dream Traxx owner Jason Baker received a phone call that made all of the years of hard work and dream chasing pay off. It was like, wow, I have actually done it. My dream is reality. That phone call was from Caterpillar Corporation, the industry leader in construction equipment throughout the world. The next few moments of the phone call left Jason speechless. “We are impressed by your work and would like to feature your company in our national ad campaign”, are the words Jason heard.

In case you do not know much about Dream Traxx, they are a construction company that specializes in the design and building of Supercross and Motocross tracks. They travel all over the United States, and to many other countries around the world. They often have very tight schedules that requires them to be in California one day, and Florida the next. So, owning all the pieces of equipment needed to build motocross/supercross tracks did not make sense for the company. Dream Traxx has relied on Caterpillar Rental since the very beginning.

When executives from Ring Power Caterpillar saw photographs and footage of the work Dream Traxx does, they were amazed at how their machines were being used in a whole new realm. Their equipment is known for creating roads, buildings, and many other types of construction projects. The work of Dream Traxx showed that their equipment is also creating works of art. This artistic dirt work also helps the top athletes of the sport pursue their dreams by having the best tracks in the world to train on.

After months of phone calls, meetings, emails, and scheduling - the Caterpillar Corporation and their filming crew brought an entire fleet of photo and video equipment to the training compound of multi-time champion Ryan Villopoto. They spent 3 days at the facility interviewing, filming, asking questions, watching the crew build,  and finding out all about the sport of motocross and supercross. After their time there was complete, it is safe to say that a handful of new fans had fallen in love with our sport!

Dream Traxx hopes you enjoy this behind the scenes look at the company and their relationship with Caterpillar Corporation.

A special thanks to riders Kyle Chisholm and Zack Freeberg.

Well, 2014 has been a great start for the Dream Traxx crew. We had an amazing time in Australia, building a brand new facility that will change the face of Australian motocross! Newcastle MotoX Complex has big dreams and visions, and we were pumped that they asked us to be a part. They still have many steps to go before they open their doors to the public, but by the picture below you can tell they are off to a great start! We wish them all the best!

As soon as we landed back stateside, we were off and running to the private compound of Chad Reed. But, then we were reminded of how unpredictable Florida weather can be. With a few days of rain, we had to park the dozers for a bit and let things dry up. As the sun shone again, we got the dozer blades digging in. We had a great week of building, and as you can see below, were spoiled by being able to watch Chad train as we were building. Just as we were putting the finishing touches on the track, Florida's unpredictability slapped us in the face once again. We received more rain in 15 minutes than we had the whole week prior. So, the finishing touches were going to have to wait a few more days!

Luckily, I had a stress relieving vacation already planned - and it could not have been more needed. It was time for our annual family ski trip, and after the past weeks at Chad's, it was a great way to get my mind off of the chaos and spend some time with the family. We will be heading back to Florida on Saturday, and will hit the ground running to get all of our top guys tracks ready for east coast. But until then, I will be soaking up every minute of this…..

January 2,2014

We are starting the new year off right! We jumped on the big bird and flew over the pond to the place down under - Australia! We are teaming up with a brand new facility - Newcastle MotoX Complex to help create and build their dream training facility! This will be a facility like nothing Australia has ever seen, and will rival any US based training facility! Trust us when we say it will be amazing! Between the elevation, picturesque setting, and multi-stage plans and goals this facility has, it will be a one of a kind, world class training facility! Stay tuned as we document the progress of the build!

We'll, aside from the chaos of the trip out to Texas - we had a great time! The family we built the track for was awesome, and they loved their new "Dream Track"

Here are a few pics of how it turned out!

After Texas, we took a well needed week off for Thanksgiving and some great family time!

Now we are at it again! But this build is HUGE!!!! Not necessarily in track size, or what rider it is for - but for us - even bigger - we are building a track for......stay tuned ;-)

We have had a whirlwind of a few weeks! From the compound of Trey Canard, straight to the "top secret project" (watch the video below), to Ryan Villopoto's, over to the compound of  James Stewart and Malcolm Stewart, then Zack Freeberg, and on to a plane to Texas!

All those weeks went so smooth - there was bound to be a hiccup! And that there was, when I had to book a United flight instead of my typical Delta. I had a feeling something was going to go bad...and that it did. Landed in Houston, went to reboard, and get this "the plane is now overweight, we are taking no more passengers"!  Are you kidding me?! In all my years of flying, I have never had this happen. To make matters worse, they took all of our luggage on that flight. With no other flights out until the next day - we had to purchase another airline ticket, ON A DIFFERENT CARRIER, to get to our final destination - Odessa, Texas. Home of Friday Night Lights! We finally arrived, went and got our luggage, and are now halfway through the build. Stay tuned and we will post some finished pictures this weekend.

But, to go along with our rough trip out to Texas - we thought this was fitting....

And now on to the 'Top Secret Project'. We were pumped to receive a phone call several months ago from Dane Herron of DHI. He was in charge of a project for Red Bull called Red Bull Straight Rhythm, and he wanted to bring on Dream Traxx to design and help construct this course. Needless to say, this was very exciting for the Dream Traxx crew. It put all of our hours playing Mad Skills, and ExciteBike to good use. This was such a fun course to design, more fun to build, and an absolute blast to watch the riders race down. Enjoy the footage below!

The 2014 Supercross season is getting closer, which means we have been logging a ton of dozer hours! This is one of our favorite times of the year. All our boys are in full boot camp mode, and have a huge list of goals for the upcoming season. It is cool to see them all have that fighting spirit, and ready to make big things happen!

James and Malcolm Stewart are now able to be in full preparation mode since we just finished up 2 SX tracks for them...game time at the Stewart Compound!!

The dozer seats did not even have time to get cold, and we were back at it over at up and coming Zack Freeberg's private SX track! Look for big things from him this year!

The whole Dream Traxx crew is looking forward to a much needed weekend off. Then we are packing our bags and jumping on the big bird off to our next track! Stay tuned!
